The role of HnRNA in the control of ribosomal gene transcription.

چکیده
The hypothesis is put forward whereby a processed fragment of HnRNA acts as activator of ribosomal gene transcription by base-pair interaction with the non-transcribed region of the ribosomal gene.

Mapping of Transcription Factor Binding Region of Kappa Casein (CSN3) Gene in Iranian Bacterianus and Dromedaries Camels
κ-casein is a glycosilated protein in mammalian milk that plays an essential role in the milk micelles. Control of κ-casein expression reflects this essential role, although an understanding of the mechanisms involved lags behind that of the other milk protein genes. Transcriptional regulation, a first mechanism for controlling the development of organisms, is carried out by transcription facto...

متن کاملTranscription of growth hormone mRNA as a molecular marker of egg quality in Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii)
The Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) is an economically important species. Sturgeon stockassessment during fingerling production is considered to be one of the most difficult phases ofhatchery rearing. The present study investigated the expression of growth hormone (GH)mRNA in unfertilized eggs, fertilized eggs, eyed eggs (2 day before hatching), non-viable eggsand newly-hatched Siberian st...
متن کاملInvestigating FGF11 gene transcription level in cancer cells among colorectal cancer patients
Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer-caused death around the world. Reports of the unnecessary transcription of family genes of the fibroblast growth factor in several types of cancer indicate the role of these factors in tumorgenesis and progression of cancer. Therefore, the level of FGF11 transcription was evaluated in colorectal cancer tumor tissues relat...
متن کاملChanges in RNA in relation to growth of the fibroblast. IV. Alterations in theproduction and processing of mRNA and rRNA in resting and growing cells
In previous reports, it was shown that both the concentration and rate of production of rRNA and mRNA were greater in growing than in resting 3T6 fibroblasts. Studies on isolated nuclei indicated that ribosomal RNA production is apparently controlled at the level of transcription. In contrast, hnRNA, the putative precursor of mRNA, appeared to be synthesized at the same rate in resting and grow...
